In my humble opinion it was probably a mountain!! Glad you enjoyed it.

Haha! No, it really was just a steep slope! (any longer and it would've been a mountain tho!!).

Loads of slopes!! (nothing but, around here) this was a new one tho! They do get easier, honest!

I remember when I used to avoid two tiny 'hills' holding hands in the canal towpath. It was probably less than 20 paces long in total, and maybe 5ft elevation. Every week I'd make sure I only went over the 'hills' during one of the walking intervals. Then one day, I arrived at W5R3, and my tiny circuit of relatively flat towpath was less than a 15 minute run. I had no choice. I had to face them. I was terrified I would be defeated, but I just took it slowly and it wasn't too bad.

After that I decided if I wanted to stop running round in tiny towpath circles, I'd need to tackle some hills. Just a little bit extra at a time. I'm still practising hills, but 400ft is much less scary now than those 2 little hills.

So many of us look back on our journey and are amazed at how far we've come. Your post made me remember those 2 little hills. Thank you. 😊

Keep hitting those slopes! β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘πŸ‘

My pleasure. I remember thinking of tiny rises in the pavements with dread (16 months ago)! I still haven't run from my house at the bottom of a hill to the top (my final 'slope', round here anyway) - at the moment it's my warm up walk but I've been thinking about going in a different direction to warm up and then giving it a go. We shall see.

Do it!! If you don't surprise yourself and do it all first time, you can work towards doing it all bit by bit. You can do this!!

[Since when did I start getting excited over running up hills? πŸ€”]

Did it the next day! It was surprisingly easy! (but only 82 foot elevation...)

82ft is a brilliant! I'd have been utterly crushed at the thought of 82ft at the start! Go you!!!

So would I have, which is why I only did it last week (18 months later)! Upwards!!

Anything more than flat counts as hill where I am concerned.... go you!!

Funnily enough I always assumed you had hills! They are quite steep but the longest is only 82 ft elevation (yes, I mappdmyrunit!). They are definitely getting easier.

I do... everywhere! Even where it is supposed to be flat!
