Hi everybody,

Please feel free to share your runs here and chat about how it's all going,

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If youre a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week,

Juju and Realfoodieclub

Ran 3km today at a 6'58min/km pace. This is around my goal pace for the 10k race so I'm very pleased...now to train to be able to keep this up for another 7km!

I did week 3 run 1 on Saturday along an old railway line in Sussex so it was a very flat course. Apparently I ran 7k although I am a bit sceptical about this as I was under tree cover the entire way so the GPS mapping left a bit to be desired. Having said that I am just back from run 2 on home territory. Today I covered 6.75k in the same time but that included a hill up at the start (and back down near the end). Thursday will probably be a short run with w3r3 on Saturday.

Brilliant speed - I'm a bit of a tortoise in comparison

It's been a good week. I have had a mini-break in London built around a couple of evenings at the athletics and one at the theatre. Did a tempo run on the jubilee greenway around the North Greenwich peninsula, and a longer run (9.5k) on the Regent's and Grand Union canals from Kings Cross to Kensal Rise. It's been good to run in some different places (although I have run in both of these places before). The canal run was particularly good taking in the redevelopment around Kings Cross, Camden Lock, Regent's Park zoo, Little Venice and various views of the A40!

Great week for me.... almost back to normal service, being resumed...3K last Tuesday... 5K, very slow, ( 38 minutes) on Friday, and a 3K, timed, ( 22 minutes) ....within a longer run on Sunday... that was great. All comfortable runs and no calf twinges :)

I am very happy:) Virtual Run for Kidney Research tomorrow...:)

Happy runs everyone!

Enjoy your run today.

Thanks..it was fun :) Results submitted.. awaiting confirmation :)

Completed a 5k Virtual run for Kidney Research today, along with Realfoodieclub and OldFloss, Davelincs doing it tomorrow. Thoughtlessly did my most hilly 5k route so took it very steady as Im just getting over a niggly knee. Last night I suddenly realised I should check my shoe milage given the niggle. Did the run in my spare new pair (I had bought a while ago ready incase), and found the knee is much better than after my previous run, result!

Must track my shoe milage better in future!

Go you.... new shoes, new knee :) I only had one hill... :) But, it as long! :)

( Any excuse for me and my slowness:) )

Just been increasing my distance to 5k for the last couple of runs. I'm trying to do continuous running rather than the Sammi Murphy way with planned walk breaks.

My 5.4k run last week took 48 mins (not including warmup/down) and was to the Stepping stones podcast and run on at the end.

Last night my 5.1k took 45 mins (not including warmup/down) and was to the Stamina podcast and run on.

This sounds SO slow, but to me it feels like a steady pace (with faster bitsπŸ˜‰)

I really don't mind that I'm slow, but I think I was running better last year as I was covering longer distances on the Sammi Plan.

Next time I run my 5k I am going to use my own music and see what my pace is like...

Just a short fun run today after the 48 min 5k extravaganza on Wenesday...

25mins with Sammi R1 no walkbreak..I quite like her music and I run faster with her than Laura.😊x

Happy running everyone..
