Ah bless em. Well done. It must be such fun! Also, you would think more about the dogs, and less about yourself, which would remove much of the paranoia that sometimes happens on races. Too hot, too cold, too fast, too slow, too much food, not enough food blah blah π
Although some of that patanoia is then tranferred to the dogs: especially the spaniel who - it turns out - pukes if she's eaten too close to running AND if her belly is completely empty. Such a learning curve!
My spaniel normally flops after a run, the beagle? Not so much. I think what wore her out was the social aspect - so many people and so many other dogs, all very exciting.
