Ooh thanks for posting this Jo . My Physio gave me this excerise to do when I had my hip injury .

I have been a bit lax with strengthening exercises lately . It's a good one this one , it's all in the glutes :-) xxx

Me too! It sorted out my hip pain within a week but I have been struggling with motivation and have forgotten to do them, so this should be helpful. Sending hugs to you Poppy x

Hmmm.......might give it a go!! But the repetitions seem to increase rather quickly.

I thought that - the numbers of reps at the end are frightening. I'm probably going to ignore them :-)

Thanks Jojo, I will certainly have a go at it. Not in four weeks but probably will need six months.

Thanks for posting. I'll give it a go too.

I did the 30 day squat challenge a couple of years ago and that was good too xxx

Oh that it was possible...:) Looking at the link made my ribs ache more ! :)

My ten minute early morning work out whilst crocked...... comprises, Yoga breathing... Sama Vittri, abdominal breathing, squats.. good because I keep very straight, rotation of shoulders..shoulder blade squeeze... and a stagger to the chair :)

Off for fifteen mins on the cross trainer now :)

Actually looking at the link, I don't think I could do it if I wasn't crocked!! :)

Go you, shall you post pikkies too ? :)

post pickies? I don't think so! I have tried several times with NO success. Definitely IT challenged!

Thanks for the post. I've been meaning to get around to doing some bridges again, so will start today. They helped with my niggly lower back loads last time too :)

This is brilliant (well day 1 was)! Going to definitely see how far I can go, although the end week does seem a huge ask!

Next time I will try and get a shot of my view... The ceiling, obscured by a slobbering staffie trying to give me kisses and sit on my chest!😂

Ha ha McFitty , I have exactly the same problem with my 2 pugs !

One tries to sit on my chest and the other sits at the side of me giving me slobbering kisses too ! As soon as I get on the floor to do any exercise , they automatically think its part of a wonderful new game. Ha ha ! :-D xxx

Ha,ha! I had same problem as @McFitty and @poppypug!! My springer lay over my chest and tried to give me kisses - I couldn't stop giggling (will post photo later!).

My dog always wants to get involved too!

I can't decide if this would kill me or cure me! I seem to have constant pain in the glute area - not severe but just there. I don't know whether strengthening my glutes would improve things, or whether doing this plan on top of the running would cause actual injury.

Hmmmm....

Any thoughts?

I had pain in my hip and glute Anne, and this exercise was recommended to me .

Although I do understand that one size doesn't fit all .... :-) xxx

I think I will give it a go! And report back. :)

This looks like exactly what I need. I already do something like the bridge :)

jojo57 I have pinned this post. I think I might give it a go. Do you think we should do a Jojo57 weekly post to see how we are all getting on with it? I could do one starting next week that way we could all get a bit of practice, I think I might need some 😀

Just started this today, Day 1 completed. I am so determined to see this through to the end as it really helped with my hip and glute pain last year .

Good Luck everybody ! :-) xxx

Missed this! Great post and I have just started doing these again as I got a bit lazy with them. I too found these exercises a great help when I had a niggly hip earlier in the summer.
