Did my 250th parkrun today!

At Dewsbury wot a tough course!

Real friendly people in lovely surroundings

Yes I was in Batley helping my daughter to move yesterday and stayed overnight so we decided to go to Dewsbury for the parkrun

It's a lovely spot but hillier then I'm used to but I thoroughly enjoyed it!

They are a real friendly bunch at Dewsbury and my daughter is going to join the local running club!!

Ah I see, I used to live not far from Dewsbury many years ago , yes lots and lots of hills around there .

I'm great thank you, just tapering for my HM on the 16th , then going to have a little rest and then do the Abbey Dash. I am hoping there are still some places left . I cant enter it until payday xxx

Yes got tickets in the ballot they have online so me and wifey went! Had a great time and saw all the judges etc!

I like the Tribesport apricot Parkrun T that's out, it can be customised with the name of your local PR and has a union flag on the sleeve, cool.. will probably go for one for next spring..😊

Well done - congratulations! I'm looking forward to doing more park runs once this bloody HM is out of the way. I am soo nervous, I think about it every hour. Just want it to go away now so that I can do the pleasurable stuff!

Half marathons are a big commitment and Sumter the training takes over your life

That's what I like about parkrun it's relatively easy to do with minimum training and you can fit your running round your life not the other way round!!

jo, you'll be fine on the HM, you know not to go mad going like a bat out of hell, think you've learnt your lesson? a happy medium needs to be struck, as you dont want to go too slowly either, so pick strategic points to pick up some pace which you feel comfy with. I found the 10k distance good to do occasionally, not too much..
