Steady away this week, my muscles are feeling the two fast (for me) 5km the last couple of weeks and I will be going to parkrun on Saturday ( I am Team GB) as well. I always seem to push myself harder with these sort of runs.

My OH and I decided this weekend to take my 3 year old to the swimming baths. He loved it and it did help me to relieve some soreness and aches in my legs after I did a couple of lengths. We probably add it to the weekly schedule from now on

I have avoided Parkrun for a few weeks as I want a rest. I know if I take part I will try and run like the clappers and I want to save my legs for planned half marathon training runs.

No run today, just leisurely walks with the dog. Lovely!

I often wonder if I was a faster runner would I push myself as much as I do at Parkrun, I'm always right at the back and don't want there to be a long gap between me and the last runner, if I ran at my training pace I would come over the line 8 min past the last runner! Hence the fact I too, go like the clappers! Your right not to,push it too much, those long training runs they take it out of you.

I'm really enjoying my weekly swims, I swum 11 out of the last 12 weeks and it's done wonders for my arm muscle tone.

I hate swimming but that reply just made me want to go and buy myself a swimsuit. I would love those arms to tone up!

Toned arms - my over winter goal. Might just have to take up swimming too!

It is actually the chlorinated pools that I hate, not the swimming

Oh is it! That's good to know. My arms are yuk! Having lost so much weight - and at my age - it's difficult to tone them up. Having said that, I'm not that bothered as I can cover them up

This week work will be getting in the way of my running. Tomorrow I would normally run with my club, but I have to work late and have to figure out what to do instead. I'll either run early before I go to work or bring my running kit to work and take a break around lunch time. I have a very flexible job where that is possible (lucky me). Thursday and Saturday I hope to be able to follow my normal running schedule.

I am having a week off of running, although having said that I might just pop out for a 5k on Saturday, but I have been experiencing a knee issue for the last month and with my Triathlon out of the way I can try and give it some time to heal.
