New tactic

I've been trying to increase my distance since my 5k and I'm not getting anywhere. I get too tired by the end of the 5k to keep on going.

I'm starting today a new walk/run/walk plan today in order to see if it can get me to 10k. At least it looks easier than running all the way there.

LOL! I feel your pain. I managed 5k after graduation but it is a long way! Run walk is definitely worth trying but I found it harder to keep running once I got used to having walk breaks!!

Good luck with your plan, the walk breaks will help you build up just like they did when you were doing c25k, most 10km plans go back to that method.

Good plan... Don't forget to go slow as you increase distance

Run, walk worked for me. I got to 10k non stop relatively soon after graduation (6 weeks) but improved my time massively with run, walk. Try and slow down and take it easy when you want to do a longer run otherwise you will get tired too quickly. Good luck!

Are you being kind to yourself when you choose a route? I might go on a bit about wanting to crack hills but the ones I'm choosing at the moment only really qualify to be slopes and I also include a dead flat run often. I don't want to put myself off and let the voices in my head win!

I don't have many hills over here, so I'm being kind. :)
