Following on from Daves, pic for Floss about wind in your hair.
I did this for 17 years and absolutely loved it. I still have all the equipment and keep talking about starting up again this year.
It certainly got the relative wind through everything 😀

PS I'm bottom left in the picture

How high up are you there Bob ? And whats keeping you up in the air without your parachute open ? ( Sorry if that's a daft question ) xxx

Generally we used to jump from around 13,000ft, it's hard to say the exact height in the picture as you can't see the ground for the cloud.
It's not a daft question, but nothing is keeping us up, in reality we are all falling at around 120 mph and so is the cameralady who took the pic 😀

Amazing picture! For 17 yrs? Was this part of your job?
Reply (1)Report
Thanks Sandra. I was a competition formation skydiver and a qualified formation skydiving coach, it wasn't my job just a very big part of my life.

Wow! Not many people can claim hobbies like that! Quite an adrenalin-junkie then!

Yep I'm certainly that, my main ones were skydiving and fast motorbikes.

That looks amazing! An uncle of mine used to skydive before having kids and he took me to one of the air tunnels, that felt amazing- can't imagine doing the real thing though!

Hi,
I did love a bit of wind tunnel action, I was talking recently with a few old skydiving mates about booking a session.
