Hey Dr. Sumeet do you think shaving my head with sparsely grown hair after chemo will enhance the growth?-:)))))

No, I do not think it will enhance the growth. Some people do shave, though; so that the new hairs are all equal in length and not a bit haphazard.

Mine is coming out haphazardly too! Mine hair has grown from all sides except only fizzy hair on top. Should I wait. My last chemo was in December and radiation completed in the first week of February, 2013.

You are already three months beyond your last chemo. So it is safe to shave it, if you would like to do it. If you do plan to do it, then go ahead!

Protein diet is very essential for a good hair growth. Ensure that your protein intake is adequate.

I have a protein diet Doc which includes, egg White everyday , chicken or mutton bone soup twice a day, milk twice a day, fish and daal besides vegetables, bananas and papaya and juices. Is my diet on the right track?

Kalpanabakshi thanks for your advice. I think I will wait for another 2 weeks or so and then see how the growth grows. What do you think Doc?

Your diet is perfect! Yeah, I think it's better you wait for a couple of weeks and see.
