Hello All,

Need your valuable comments if you have come across the same scenario. My mom is diagnosed with BC in 2011 (underwent Mastectomy and chemotherapy 6 cycles )and recurrent BC in 2017. Currently, she is under hormonal therapy (Letrozole 2.5mg)and was doing well for the past 3 years. 3 months back we diagnosed and found she is having liver cirrhosis and undergoing treatment for the same. And the Ultrasound/CT scan impressions as follow

Ultrasound on Sep 10

Chronic liver disease with Multiple tiny ill-defined hypoechoic lesions with no demonstration of internal vascularity in both lobes of Liver

CT Scan done on Sep 10

Few dysplastic nodules with no washout noted

Chronic portal vein hypertension

Again she felt some pain in upper abdominal pain before 3 days and we have done an ultrasound scan today (Oct 29), which showed below results :

Chronic portal vein hypertension

Chronic liver disease with Multiple tiny ill-defined hypoechoic lesions with no demonstration of internal vascularity in both lobes of Liver

Is this something related to cancer or its cirrhosis only? Doctors pls help to comment on the same

Difficult to say anything. Unfortunately, we do not have any Radiologists or GI surgeons on board; I think it’s better for you to discuss with your Oncologist and let him discuss with his Radiologist as to what they feel this is.
