Tamoxifen/herceptin with radiotherapy

Can tamoxifen (daily 20mg) and Herceptin (every 21 days- 440mg) be both given during radiation therapy ?

Can all three be given together or tamoxifen / herceptin be stopped during radiotherapy ?

I m sure of herceptin . It can be given during radiation. BT tamoxifen nt sure. Usually all meds stop during radiation ñ start aftr 3 weeks of finishing. Still make sure with ur doc. Herceptin for sure can be given

SOme radiation oncologists prefer to hold on Tamoxifen till radiation is complete. While some give during radiation. Both are fine. But I would prefer to hold on Tamoxifen and start after radiation.

Tamoxifen should ideally not be used concurrently with Radiation especially if there is 3 field Radiation due to some statistically significant increase iñ chances of Lung fibrosis as seen in few very early trials of 80s and 90s.

There is no benefit starting Tamoxifen along with Radiotherapy for sure...

Herceptin can be used during Radiotherapy.. No issues till date.
