difference in radiation by - cobalt and linear accelerator

Pl help regarding the difference between radiation by cobalt and linac. Doctor it has been advised that we can either go radiation by cobalt or linac. Comparing cost wise there is a very huge difference. Cobalt costs 100/- per cycle whereas linac app 2700/- per cycle. Very much confused as to what to do. Pl help to make a decision

kontak, Cobalt is an older form of radiation. LINAC (Linear Accelerator) is the best form of radiation. There are lots of technical details if I go to tell you on differences, so we wont discuss that. But I can tell you, if you can somehow manage for a LINAC, go for it.
