Have you had other brands or is this your first prescription of tamoxifen. I know a few folk have probs swapping brands but I've had 2 diff ones so far no issue.

Or are you asking re any tamoxifen side effects?

Hi, I've just been given the wock ones. I had been on relonchem with a few side affects but manageable, I then got changed to genisies where the sweats were horrendous after only days, I asked to go back to relonchem and they have given me wock? Not sure whether to go back to doctor or to try them? Really apprehensive after the genises.

I haven’t had many side effects on woch so am a bit wary of trying something new.how long have you been on tablets?

I've been on them since August 2019. Know how you feel about a different brand. My doctor has been really good at writing another prescription when the genises one didnt agree with me. I have read up on the wock brand and it seems to be one of the better brands so I'll give them a go. Think it's a bit of trial and error. Good luck x

It seems to be an individual thing . Some people say its the different 'fillers' they use. Im sure most ppeople are fine on whatever brand they get given. Trouble is people with no problems dont tend to populate forums ( oh except for me!!lol)

I was on relochem and moved onto Tilomed. My joint pain disappeared after two days but I now have really bad insomnia (although that might coincidental with me being slammed into the menopause-even I was assured Tamoxifen wouldn’t do that).

I wonder if my joint pain will disappear! I’ve got polymyalgia as well and haven’t been able to work out what’s causing the pain 🤞

Fingers crossed your symptoms will be alleviated from changing the brand xx

My insomnia was so bad that I went to see a nutritionalist. I had to make some small adjustments to my diet and now take supplements. I also had some more acupuncture. Bizarrely my insomnia had disappeared! Now I’m not suffering from any side affects. Xxx

Hi there, I'm late to this. I have been taking Tamoxifen for 6 weeks now and the side effects are really getting me down. I was hoping they would start lessening now but they are getting worse. I have been taking the Genesis brand and have now been given some RelonChem. Does anyone have any experience of these? What side effects are people getting? I'm getting overwhelming fatigue (which might also be due to radiotherapy), eye pain, bad night sweats and flushes, and I feel bloated and angry. I have been told I have to take them for 10 years and can't switch to Letrazole as I have osteoporosis. I am 54 and so fed up. X

How are you? Thanks for asking. My oncologist has had to stop my tamoxifen because I have neutropenia and leukocytopenia which can in rare cases be caused by tamoxifen. I will restart on 10mg not 20mg when my white blood cell count improves and when the coronavirus is over. Scary times. I have also just been diagnosed with lymphoedema in my right arm. I am so fed up. I only had two lymph nodes removed and I am slim, I exercise a lot and am only 54. These are scary times. Hope things are better with you.

😢oh no, bless you, please look after yourself. I was so lucky in that I didn’t have radiotherapy and the tamoxifen although has some side effects I am ok. Take care xx
