Random Tiredness.. Any tips?

I had my last Paclitaxel chemotherapy on Friday.. 😜Woop, however today Monday I felt really tired, I didn't want to sleep as I had family round. I tried one of those barocca tablets in water, hoping that would help but didn't. If there are is anything can recommend? I'd be very grateful 😊

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Take care

Sami 😎

Oh Sami

You have just finished Chemo & paclitaxel is extremely hard on the system, you are underestimating the effects of the drug l’m afraid.

It completely wiped me out, like l’d been hit by a train! I’d say just rest & recover 🌷

Take Care

I felt good and happy going on Saturday and Sunday, must be cause it was my last treatment. Unless it's a delayed tiredness?

Really? Oh my! My 12 weekly treatments went alright, downside lost half my hair and the tips of my fingers feel sensitive.

Thank you MrsN

Take care too ❤️

Probably the cumulative affects catching up with you too!

You have permission to rest, rest, rest! You’ve been through a lot & your body has been under a constant onslaught.

Take Care 🌷

Hi Sami01

You have to listen to your body and sleep. Your health is far more important than visitors, they can always visit again. Your body heals in sleep and the impact of this, and many other chemo treatments is terribly harsh on you and your system. Unfortunately this will be the 'norm' for a while. I am 3 years after treatment and still get days where I cannot function, but a short nap fixes it. Look after you, you need strength to fight this. All the best for your return to full and good health. Lainey66 🌹🌹🌹

Listen to your body. If you are tired and can squeeze in a nap... do! Your body heals when we sleep. B12 drops give me a kick of energy when I feel sluggish. Drink alot of water. Dehydration makes us tired. And, as hard as it is to get up and take a walk when we are so tired. Do it! Push yourself. Something about fresh air and moving gives us energy. Faith

Hi Sami, I echo with the others...it is so important to sleep and rest as much as possible. I will say taking a walk when you’re tired is nuts. That’s a recipe for a fall. Focus on you and accept any help offered.

Hi Sami I had that chemotherapy after 3rounds of FEC and I found the paclitaxel really bad for me after my 3rd and last dose I felt really tired and breathless

I was admitted thinking I had a blood clot

I was given blood thinners and all improved all I would advise is drink plenty of water and if your still feeling fatigued get advice from your breast cancer nurse

Lots of luck on speedy recovery 💕

God bless you. My heart goes out to you and all women who have cancer. You are very strong women. I had a cancer scare so I empathize with you all.

Hi I had the same treatment and I just went to my bed as couldn’t stay awake. You have to put YOU first, family have to realise that the treatments do knock the stuff out of you, speak to them so that they understand what you’re going through. Take care and all the best xx
