Hi Nichole, everybody's symptoms can be very different. You did the totally right thing in contacting your GP and getting that appointment. As daft as this sounds, try to put it to the back of your mind until you know the outcome. The chances are your GP will send you for a Mammogram. If you are here in Ireland it will be what they call a 3 in 1 appointment where you go for the mammogram, then have the ultrasound followed by the biopsy if one is deemed necessary all on the same day, there is very little pain involved in that so do not worry. This all saves you having a lengthy wait for the different appointments and if, and only if, you need treatment it all starts within two to three weeks. It is a totally efficient system. Worrying, and it is absolutely understandable that you will worry will only result in you feeling weak, ill and depressed. Try to distract yourself with activities you enjoy. Try to think positively and perhaps try meditation to help you relax. Sending you much love and posituve vibes.

Hi,

Really sorry to hear your symptoms. You did do the right thing but you need an emergency appointment tomorrow not next week, if your surgery does that. Most do. I saw the locum dr, but it still got the ball rolling. Lainey is right worry isn't going to help. It's so hard not to, but getting things going will help you calm down because your taking action.

Could be nothing.

Hi Nichole,

Everybody’s symptoms vary when it comes to breast cancer or non-breast cancer. I was at a similar stage as you about this time last year and I worried myself constantly until I had the appointment. Itnis very natural for you to worry but all I know is that without having it checked by a professional not to think about the worst and try to be patient and distract yourself if you can. I know it is easier said than done. Please keep us posted how you get on with the appointment.

Please try to get an emergency appointment, I’m not scare mungering but the sooner you know the better you will feel, it’s hard not to worry, but good luck and fingers crossed.🙏🙏🤞🤞

Hi I am thinking of you and agree with all the other replies get an emergency appt and get the ball rolling and if your fears are not confirmed no harm done but if you have a problem it will be treated and sooner rather than later for your own peace of mind .Until things have been confirmed either way try to keep positive and put your trust in the professionals they are there to help and will support you through this . I hope things turn out well and keep us posted as we will all be thinking of you
