Lymph node

Hi, I'm new to this group, I'd like to ask a question.

A lymph node 9mm was found after a ct scan, I've had another mammogram and ultra sound which showed 7mm so discharged. My question is should I have follow up if so how often to check? Thank you in advance

I would imagine they will want to keep an eye on you. My treatment was a long time ago but I had 6 monthly checks then12 months. Was discharged but the door was left open if anything was worrying me. I am not sure if this helps you but would urge you to ask the professionals ‘what happens next?’

Thanks for replying. I didn't think I would have been discharged, I thought they would have kept it open for more checks. So who should monitor it hospital where I was referred or doctors. I'm presuming it can grow. .

The oncologist was monitoring mine. I had my lymph nodes removed so they were monitoring in case of spread. I am unsure why they are not doing this with you (I think you need to askin case they have made a mistake). At the very least they need to explain. Will be thinking of you.

Lizzie I too would urge you to take up contact again withEVERYONE!

Make an appt or at the very least ring you BCN.

Make an appt with your go.

Make an appt with your oncologist / surgeon / consultant.

If you are asking this question on here you should be asking a medical person.

DO NOT let anyone push back u til you are satisfied. This is YOUR LIFE they are making decisions about, the least you are entitled to is a satisfactory answer to why have you been discharged.

All the best x

Like everyone else here I would follow up and ask for monitoring.

If you have never had bc it might be less of a concern, but always worth asking the question!

Sending love and courage xx

Thanks I will, it is a concern to just be discharged with no follow-up. I was told at the hospital it was just a lymphnode left side of left breast. Just shocked I was discharged without a follow up appointment. My lymphnode is at the left side of breast not in armpit, how unusual is that? Thanks
