Found a lump on other breast

After being told between Christmas and new year I have breast cancer in right breast, got an appointment Wednesday for the plan, they didn’t biopsy my left breast as they really didn’t think the micro calcifications on my right were cancer but they were. But since then I’ve found a lump in my left armpit, and it painful, the pain feels like a boil.... I’m worried now that it’s in my lymph nodes....

Please try and not worry about what you don’t know. Get an appointment back at the clinic as soon as you can to check it out. Good luck xx

Hi Tricia

I’m sorry to hear your news, all my calcifications turned out to be the start of the same type of BC as the lump l found too.

Ring the Breast Care Nurse tomorrow & tell her your other symptoms as they may wish to check that before your planned appointment on Wednesday.

Let us know what they say, will keep our fingers crossed for you.

I am very sad to hear your news. A diagnosis is always a dreadful thing to hear and particularly so over the holidays as everything is closed - your life seems to go on hold when all you want is to move forward and get your treatment started asap. Its natural to fear the worst about your other symptoms - keep pushing them to double check everything. If it is cancer, you want the treatment to cover everything. Good luck over the next few months. It wont be easy but somehow we get through it. Be kind to yourself. Hugs xxx Caroline.

Tricia so so sorry to hear of your diagnosis and your concerns. If your breastcancer nurse is helpful (mine wasnt) I would contact her. If not you could try ringing your consultants secretary and expressing your concerns. The secretarys can email your consultant and they can phone you. They may feel that as your appointment is very soon that the concerns can be addressed at you appointment with the consultant.

Make a list of everything you want to raise.....I found it was easy to forget to remember to ask some of the questions otherwise. Take someone with you.

If its any comfort I was diagnosed as HER2+ after I started my chemo but they were able to incorporate treatment for this into my started treatment plan. Ive been three years clear now.

Sending you big big hugs at this very stressful time. Xx

Sorry to hear your news. Try not to worry too much. I had all my axilla lymph nodes removed. I am careful but otherwise manage well without them. Thelump in my armpit was not painful. Anyway it needs to be checked. Hugs
