My itchy skin

Wow! I literally completed a half hour walk to the chemist and back and my skin was itching like it was on fire, even though I used factor 50 sun cream. Does anyone know when radiotherapy stops this itching skinin the sun? If anyone has any tips for itchy skin or detox, please let me know. I’m now a prisoner in my home at a time when we’re having the most glorious weather. 😫

I find I have had to experiment with different products. I suffer the terrible itch too after radiotherapy in that area but also chemo has left me sensitive all over to the sun. I moisturise with pure coco nut oil or emu oil or olive oil as I can't use other products due to additives which make it worse!

Also can only use scent free factor 30 from Green People. Good luck and keep trying. you will find what suits you.

Thanks, I’m not too sure about using the oil in this weather, but I will check out the green people website though. 👍🏼

Hi Coco I finished radiotherapy in Jan and I have always had really sensitive skin I have used what I always use as sun protection Lancaster and their after sun and haven’t had any problems it’s not cheap but might be worth a try. Generally your can get it cheaper here. Www.allbeauty.com. Hope that might help x

Try Elave cream after your daily shower. I find it really helps with itchiness. I found it took a year before I could sit in the sun after chemo. It does get better though so hang in there 😊
