Look further than treatment .

I want to just give a message . to all you ladies, and I know some gents , treatment can leave you feeling awful. I had breast cancer 3 years ago and yea it did knock me for six. You might hear people say "life is never the same" but I want to tell you that life can go back to normal. I am working harder. I feel stronger than I did before . I never thought I was going to finish chemo , and radiotherapy is energy zapping. But believe it now you will bounce back. You will have very low moments. Feel quite sorry for yourself. but........ There is and can be a normal life after cancer . takes a while, and do it YOUR pace. But it does just float off into The background. People can't even tell ive had it lol . if you need peace, aso for it. If you need company. Ask for ir. People want and need to feel they're doing something. Give them something to do. Include them . that wY its not them interfering . I wish you all the very best . I just wanted anyone reading this to know that there is life at the end; f this f;r those fortunate to get through it.

Keep going . look ahead. Its there waiting for you to finish treatment and embrace you. Enjoy it and make the most of the freedom of no more hospital vists .best wishes

Jackie

I totally agree with everything you say, I finished my radiotherapy in January 2014, at that time I couldn't see my life returning to 'normal', but over time and with a new job that I desperately needed, the word cancer is gradually leaving my life, later this year I'll have my 5th post cancer mammogram and hopefully then it'll really leave my life, I wish you well in the future xxx

Hi, reading your post gives me the reassurance that I'm going to recover from this, it may be a while, but my life will go on, after this bump in the road, just waiting for my biopsy results but consultant 90% sure it' BC, I can't even write the word or even say it, I'm very prepared for result day! Hey you. Thankyou for the reply. I am sorry that you are having to start this journey. Please stay in touch . one word of advise though is that everyone's journey is unique. You will hear horrow stories and positive stories. Just go with the flow that your own body and mind take you . day by day. I wish you much luck and much love . I'm a nightshift worker so up all night on the nights you might want someone to talk to OK.

Best wishes
