Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this forum and would like to introduce myself. I do not have breast cancer but my mother was diagnosed with it back in 2013. Thankfully, she is doing well now having a mastectomy and going through a bit of treatment. I may not know personally what you all went through but I was an observer of it and I would like to just let everyone know to continue to stay strong and remain optimistic! IT's important to continue to live your life the way you did before you knew you were diagnosed. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Have a great day everyone!

Welcome, T. Thank you for your kind wishes and encouragement.

We hope everything continues to go well for your Mother and you. I am sure it has meant a great deal to her and her well-being to have your caring involvement.

She is welcome to join us also, or to communicate with us through you.

A wonderful day to you, too.

Hi there. Glad your mum is doing well and that she has you for support. I agree with you. I was diagnosed with breast cancer before Christmas and underwent a double mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy. After getting an oncotype result of 11 I didn't need any treatment thankfully but am on letrozole for 7 years which I am tolerating. It took me a few months of emotional turmoil but I am back and nearly the same me as before. I realised life was passing me by and would continue to do so whether I stayed anxious and fearful or not so I decided to get on with living and doing my best to live every day. Some days aren't easy but I'm getting there. It will always hang over me but I'm trying to cope as best I can. I wish ye all the best on yere journeys and sending hugs to you all xxx
