Well got my results today.(Following my post below ) They found the cancer in my left breast. It is lobular invasive Her2 + and hormone receptor -. So could be better. It hasn't spread though there were different opinions at the multidisciplinary meeting as there was just a speck near my sacrum. So another MRI for that in six months.

Left Mastectomy and clearance of axilla on 18/12 (to match R mastectomy in 2001)

That's all I can cope with this evening but relieved the waiting is over. 😴

Sorry the news wasn't better for you, will be thinking of you on the 18th when you have your op.

Was your previous cancer the same type? At least the wait is over and you know what you are dealing with, you will get through this xxx

Hey there bones-bones, thank goodness they have found it and now can get rid of it for you. I had double mastectomy in Jan 2016, with left axilla clearance. I am sending you all the best wishes in the world for your surgery and hope that this will be the end of all cancer for you now. Take care and try relax and do things you like to do between now and surgery date. Hugs, Lainey66 πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’

Good to know what you are dealing with and a plan is in place, its always a relief to know something is being done. Like others, I'm sending you my best wishes xx

I am very sad to read that they found cancer but as the girls say, the drs can now focus on getting rid of it. An op so close to christmas is rubbish but its good that they are pushing ahead with it quickly. I wish you all the very best. xxx Caroline

Thank you all so much. It really makes a difference to have your support.I may be an old biddy (74 ) but as mother used to say 'Life is sweet at any age' I feel lucky that I am not young...it must feel so hard and unfair.

Christmas will be fine. Our son and d in law are here from Barcelona and had already decided the would do the cooking this year.

We have old ,steep cottage staircase so we will have to cart a bed downstairs as I don't think I'll manage to climb them the day after my op.

Enough about me. I hope you are all doing well and are looking forward....to Christmas. πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„
