Made it!

Just wanted to thank everyone for all the good vibes you took the time to send my way...

Mastectomy was yesterday and here I am on the other side! The anaesthetist was amazingly reassuring and I didn't lose my mind. Few deep breaths and then she sedated me so heavily before she put me to sleep so I never knew I was "going under"

I've woken up at the right time & place with two inflated boobs when I was expecting just one...waiting for the tissue to adapt before doing the Nike air trick...anyway I really trust the plastic surgeon so I'll find out why he went so Off Pist (pun intended if you have as silly a sense of humour as me)

I might even be discharged today! But only because for some reason I have to go over to UCH for my post op follow up with the onc surgeon...really?!? An uber to another hospital for post op appointment? Has this happened to anyone else?!

Ok, that's my excited rant over..,just wanted to share the news. And just in case you forget sometimes: You guys are ALL Amazing Heroes

If you live near London please, may I suggest The Haven in Fulham Broadway. They are a brilliant charity and can offer all sorts of therapies to help your recovery. Also, a lovely cafe in the basement with healthy goodies xxx
