Thank goodness it is fine. With it being fine there is nothing more your doctor can do, thank goodness. The last thing you want to be doing is walking in the shoes that many of us here are having to walk in. Delighted all went well for you. Enjoy your good health and live life to the full xx

Wonderful news! Very happy for you!

As your ultrasound is normal I don't understand why you're upset, most people would be happy all is well

You've had the news we would all have liked. I do see that for you however, with your heightened anxiety, this may not seem a sufficient response. Perhaps try to reframe this situation. Two health care professionals, your doctor and the sonographer are content with the results. I'm not sure what would make you feel ok. What would you like to happen? There is a saying " If it ain't broke don't fix it,". Any intervention carries a risk however small. So if the area of concern is causing no harm, it's best left

Glad it was good news, go and celebrate, many would love to get that news, but unfortunately it’s not often the case.xx

Are you ok? Your message is headed 'beyond upset' but your message seems to indicate the results were good. Not sure if you have closure or if you are worried?

Let us know if you need further support.

yes the results were good but knowing i have a lump there and nobody will do anything to prevent it from going further or growing is upsetting

Yes that makes sense, an unexplained lump is bound to be a worry. As you are still worried it makes sense to get some further help from the health professionals. They need to explain to you what they think it is and why they are not concerned. You need to feel confident that there is nothing to worry about before you can rest. BW Caroline

I hate to throw a spanner in the works here, but I was told that my mammogram and ultrasound showed nothing to be concerned about. I wasn’t particularly happy with this and was told I could have a MRI scan to put my mind at rest. That showed an area which needed further investigation. Core biopsies were inconclusive, so mammotome biopsies were taken, which showed a large area of DCIS. For this, the treatment plan was a mastectomy and sentinel node excision.

Following surgery, the histology results showed that within 50mm of DCIS, there was 35mm of invasive cancer, 3/3 sentinel nodes were positive, ER positive, PR positive and HER-2 positive. To say I was gutted, is putting it very mildly!

My treatment plan now is to have 6 cycles of FEC-T (3 FEC, then 3 T with herceptin), axillary node clearance, radiotherapy, herceptin for a year, then daily tablets of Anastrozole for 5 years, possibly followed by tamoxifen. I have had 2 doses of chemo so far, so am just at the beginning of this long journey.

I can’t urge anyone enough, if you are still concerned or not happy, please do ask for more. If I hadn’t opted for the MRI scan, I really don’t know where I would be now.
