Feeling a bit nervous as I've got my first annual mammogram this Friday. Scared they will find something else as I've been having pain in my breast and I'll be back where I was this time last year, two lots of surgery just before Xmas.

Same here ..when I had my first mammogram after surgery I thought it would be fast tracked but no standard wait for letter ..I got so worried I rang up and nurses told me results after two weeks ..finally got letter nearly four weeks .I thought when it's in the hospital and not in van in Tesco car park priority would be higher especially for the first five years .

I am nearly three years in ..I still have breast pain they say it's the radiotherapy ..nerve endings and tamoxifen can give pain at sight of where lump was ..I will always wonder and worry though I think it's part of this process .mammogram clear in July seeing surgeon December and I will still ask why the pain still ..wasn't warned about it so nagging doubt sets in but that's normal . Trying to deal with daily gets better over time it becomes part of you ..mine is like a pre menstrual breast pain but all the time ..half booby still feels mainly numb .but at least I have one .just ask about it and tell them exactly how the pain feels so they can give you reassurance.take care ..

I've got exactly the same aches as you... I was worrying that it had come back again. My boob is do tender I can't even do a self exam for lump. Someone else told me radiotherapy was the cause! 😐

I can't self examine either because of it doesn't feel like my breast .seeing surgeon for review in a month I will stress my worries again but I don't think anything will reassure me . I think I would feel better if had ultrasound . Never get a break from it well it feels like that but with anything has good days bad days .roll on the 12th so I can discuss it again ..pain killers don't work .

That's exactly how I feel Louise. Horrible that you are going through it too but good for me too hear someone else has the same symptoms. I guess it feel that perhaps that's just our new 'normal'!

What a pair we are .😀 as you say to discover someone else has the same experience is a comfort for want of a better description.
