Bum fluff? Return of the hair?

Good bank holiday Monday morning!

For a few weeks now i tentatively imagined I was seeing new growth on my head. How could this be? I asked myself. I'm only 5 weeks from my last 6th chemotherapy treatment and the chemo hangs around for a bit, doesn't it? Well yes some of it does.

Well it's not my imagination!

There is definitely a smattering of very fine soft hair sticking up from my scalp, it actually catches the sunlight!! Wohoo!! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜†

Oh joy!! What a relief. It's true. It really does comeback! Even tho it's what I've been told and I see other new hair it was still hard to believe it would happen when in the thick of chemo.

WOHOO!!

It feels so good to have something tangible to give me the reassurance I so desperately need that this will all pass - yippee!!

Wishing everyone a good bank holiday๐Ÿ˜€xx

Hi

Yes my hair started to come back about the same time.

The lovey Clare at the cancer centre did recommend buzzing it off , which i was a little reluctant to do - but agreed.

This helps it come back even and thicker.

Can you tell what colour it is?

I was blonde and I've come back dark brown !

People are shocked when they see me - and assume I used to dye my hair before ๐Ÿ˜‚

I've now had two normal haircuts and have a pixie cut !

So you will get there

X

Hi Eboracum thank you for this tip! I am reluctant but I think I understand that it's not going to be even as hair doesn't grow evenly - which doesn't usually show on a full head of hair. It is pretty grey! With some very dark bits. I was brown before but going grey (age 50) so I don't mind what it comes back as, just so damned pleased to be seeing it at all, ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ. Looking forward to my first trip to the hairdresser ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’.

Hi trg3 well I am pleased to hear your hair started growing back so soon! It was very hard managing the hair loss wasnt it. Yes my scalp was sore in one particular area for a couple of weeks while shedding, luckily for me it wasn't vary painful. And yes certainly no idea what colour I will end up ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„.

Really well done with final EC chemo - another damn good feeling ay - and lots of luck with the rest of your treatment x
