Hi ladies

Can anyone recommend a time of day or night I can take my tamoxifen I was taking it 10pm but I wake at 3 hot flushes been on tamoxifen since 2013 I am so tired of not sleeping all night any tips would be very much appreciated .

I am on anastrozole and have the same problem. So I have resorted tobtaking it in the mornings as I am having breakfast. I still get the flushes at night but nowhere near as bad. I hooe this helps xx

I changed taking my tamoxifen from night to mornings. Hot flushes during the day are bearable but dont get any during night now. I find if im tired i get more hot flushes so sympathise. I think your body has also got into that routine if waking during the night... Have your tried mindfulness.

Just started on tamoxifen 2mts ago i take it when i am going to bed but like you also wake during the night with hot flushes but go back to sleep again try talking to a breast care nurse or try taking it during the day.Hope you get sorted soon x

I take mine first thing in the morning, only so i remember to take it. 🙄 I've been lucky and it's not caused to many problems. X

I take mine first thing in morning, I still get a few hot flushes during the night but they seem to be more manageable now and I only noticed them if I've woken up for the boys (or a wee).!

I have Anastrazole that I take in the morning with breakfast. Been on it over a year now & although I get other side effects, I rarely suffer hot flushes now once the first three months had passed. I think I have settled more since my Herceptin injections finished too, as it was always hard to decide what side effects resulted from which treatment when you take a few concurrently! X

I take mine at night and i suffer with hot flushes both day and night. It doesnt seem to make a difference but i am also going through the change x

Good to see this question posted. I have night sweats from my ME/CFs and on top of them the flushing from tamoxifen ugh im craving sleep. I am changing meds to mornings now too. X

I take my tamoxifen in morning. Has anyone else experienced skin irritation/rash around your mouth? Have tried various creams but I have more bad days than good with it xx

No that's a side effect that I haven't heard about
