All well here Chrissie. Are you ok? Xx

in reply to Lainey66

Thanks for asking Lainey. Unfortunately I had an appointment with oncologist on Wednesday (one month earlier than expected) and he gave me the results of my bone scan. i have 2 small areas in the bone which they are more or less sure is the cancer - the first time in the bone. It has hit me a bit hard this time especially as my aches and pains have improved dramatically since starting to take Tamoxifen 3 weeks ago. The news came at the same time as my daughter found out that her IVF had not worked and her car is caput. Still it is onwards and upwards

Have a great Xmas after your difficult year. Still not getting emails - I got here via the website. I will have to try and re-register xx

Oh Chrissie I am so sorry to hear that. With them being small areas is it at all possible to have it operated on and removed? I am not a totally religious person but I have my faith and will go into our local church and light a candle for you and your daughter and a third for us all on this site. I hope you dont mind. You have a good Christmas too Chrissie. Big hugs being sent right now xxxxx

All your posts seem to want to promote some kind of dubious health products!

I for one don't like to see this kind of post, I know all proper drugs have undergone full research and double blind trials, are peer reviewed, before they are used.

My husband knows a lot about cancer research and drug treatments, and I urge all cancer patients to listen to their doctors.

I had cancer and take letrozole, but i also have changed my life style and diet a bit, just to make myself feel like I am doing something to help.

Well said Debs 1962. I too get sick of people (not on here) posting "cures", going on about "big pharma" suppressing a cure, cannabis cures all cancers and chemo kills. Whilst I am not against alternative treatments per se, and I have heard that cannabis relieves symptoms, I think it dangerous and irresponsible to encourage people not to have chemo or radiotherapy

Absolutely would not use these things but healthy eating is all I am doing with exercise and positivity the doctors are the experts and I certainly would never go against what they say but know in addition to medical advice it's ok to do natural things to help keep your body enriched with good natural foods and naturally occurring vitamins . Cancer is a journey and. I feel that chemo and radio and surgery are in the hands of not only your oncologist and surgeon but also in how we manage and gain support to get our bodies strong to hopefully stop any further disease .

Happy new year and all the best to every one of you .

I am excited about my future and my journey will be tricky but also direct me to where I end

Hi Hidden

I didn't get my email one day last week but apart from that OK

I'm sorry to read your news in your reply to Lainey66

I sincerely hope that they'll be able to treat these areas quickly & effectively, I'm so very sorry to hear your daughters news too, it must a very hard & trying time for you all.

Thinking of you & let us know what your treatment plan is going forward.

Hi Chrissie2,

Hope you are managing to cope with this news

I didn't get any posts for a few days last week, then like busses 3 came at once

Thanks for all your positive thoughts. I am coping but not sleeping too well at the moment (Tamoxifen I think!!) Doo I am very tired and do not really feel like doing anything much. My oncologist is hoping that the Tamoxifen will do it's job. If not, it will be chemo again. Because it is in the bone, I have to go on to monthly injections of Denosumab to strengthen the bones but I have to see if I need any dental treatment before starting. I have a dental appt on Monday.

I think the areas are too small to operate on which sounds good to me. Let's hope they keep that way or go away completely

Happy Xmas everyone xx

Hi Chrissie, so sorry to read of your news, and that of your daughter, sending you both, and the rest of the family, loads of love and hugs that next year is easier for you all, and I hope this time next year your daughter raises a glass of fizzy water to toast the season as there's a little baby on the way xxx.

Hi it's a busy time lots of busy people but I have slowed things down and are mindful of what's around me . Finished radiotherapy yesterday and enjoying my family happy Christmas zx

No problems with emails just flat out with work, supporting family also with breast cancer and just had a good friend die from a brain tumour so not feeling Christmassy.

My plea is that we keep this as a support forum not promoting any treatment, this is not the place for it and can be off putting.

I hope 2017 provides a healthy and happier year for all of us.

Best wishes xx
