Hi all

Just wanted to share 3 years since diagnosis for triple negative and just got all clear from yearly mammogram

Cant believe i got through it and 3 years have flown esp as i had thought the worst and didnt think i would be around

That is fantastic news. I am so very happy for you. I am going for my first review on the 19th of this month. I have to go every three months for the next two years before they go to every six month for the next three years. I am also triple negative. My mind is going into overdrive as I keep thinking its gone to my bones with pain in my spine and elbow.... paranoid or what eh. I am getting so crabby with people too as I havent shared my worries for fear of upsetting them all over again. 😣

I know everyone has worries but I think us triple negs have more due to the bad press we read so the worries are always there but the days get more without constant thoughts of recurrence I have back pain and have already had 2 Mri scans n still think it's Mets even though I know it's not

N yes u are right everyone just thinks u are daft moaning when u mention a recurrance when u have a pain but you have to voice it , it needs to come out n be said

But I wanted to share three years on to show there is more to been diagnosed with triple neg and its not all bad

Keep talking out loud we need to and each check up is a tick on the long path to living

I just want to wish you all the best for your review on 19th, l'll be away so wanted to say it now incase WiFi's not reliable!

I had my 12month review in July & all was good, I'm off for some X-rays on my back this morning, I just mentioned my back aches to my GP so he sent me straight for X-rays! I don't mention it to my friends as they always say 'You'll be Fine!'. . . . .

Hope you're doing OK & I'm sure you'll be glad to get your review over.

I also feel pain in my lower back, and worry I am having my yearly check with specialist this Friday so will voice my concerns. I think we all worry about any pains etc we have, our bodies have let us down once and I feel I cannot trust it again.

It really is a worry. After what we have been through it is nightmare inducing. I am back to not sleeping at night and worrying, added to this I am snappy and short tempered. I am trying to be positive but in all honesty I have become to detest that saying "be positive" ... it is an irritant of the first order and is likely to send me over the edge one of these days!

Good Luck Debs1962 at your review on Friday, I hope all goes well. I'm going for X-rays on my back this morning after I mentioned my back ached/hurt to my GP

I have oestopenia in my lower back anyway, so I'm hoping it's just that.

That is maybe what I will ask for as I was also diagnosed last year with osteoporosis in my spine last year, which was a shock.

No one really understands the uncertainty of triple negative unless that was their diagnosis.

I've just had my first 12month check & all was good!
