MTHFR gene mutation

I was diagnosed with dcis then found lcis in the pathology slice after lumpectomy. I have not started any treatment yet and see oncologist in 2 weeks. Have alot of questions. My family dr did a blood test for preop. It came back with a gene mutation call MTHFR C677T from both parents. If you look it up along with my breast cancer diagnosis. It is very interesting. I am now on L-5 MTHFR/ Vitamin D3.. has anyone else been tested for this and checked into the conditions it can cause?
