delayed reconstruction
I had a subdural haemorrhage in may 2023 removing most of the right side of my scull even encroached my forehead that’s some 10 months ago now. I was supposed to receive reconstructive surgery and have titanium implant to protect the sensitive area where my skin is my only protection to my brain. That

Hormonal therapy ?
Hi, I was diagnosed with extended DCIS with ER+, PR+.I had a total mastectomy with a diep flap 2 weeks ago, My surgeon referred me to medical oncology for hormonal therapy. I am curious do I still need hormonal therapy as I already had a mastectomy, as far as cancer recurrence and preventing cancer

Diep Flap Procedure Question
Hi, I'm a breast cancer survivor and I had a double mastectomy. It is planned that I'm going to have the Diep flap procedure and I was wondering if anyone could advise me on how weight gain and loss affect the body after this procedure? Thanks

TP53 Testing
Good afternoon. My oncologist called me last month to tell me that my FISH test indicated that I had Trisomy 12. He went on to say “You should feel lucky that you don’t have TP53.” I watched this excellent video yesterday. The doctors discussed the importance of having the separate TP53 test with FISH

My mom just got diagnosed with CLL at 59 - we have questions - thank you for all the support on my previous post!
1. We live in Southern California - does anyone know a great specialist near by? 2. Her ABSOLUTE LYMPHOCYTES are 9533 - does anyone have similar numbers but they have increased 24% from a month ago when they were at 7732?? Is this alarming? 3. Her IGHV test came back at 6.87% - what does that mean?

Tumors Shrinking!
Brave Bold Cancer Thrivers, I am ER+, HER2 negative and I, finally after four months, have an oncologist I just love (she's so thorough with everything and very kind and caring), and my treatment is working! I am on Ibrance and letrozole and in only 2 months majority of the tumors have shrunk in half

Early Breast Cancer - Radiation Treatment
I'm about to embark on a 4 week radiation therapy after my lumpectomy. I'm not looking forward to it. I have a weak heart and ultra sensitive skin. The more I read about its long term side effects, the more hesitant I become. Any advice for me? Has anyone skipped radiation treatment?

Uncertainty is the worst
Hello! To cut a long story short, I had Hodgkins lymphoma in 2005 and therefore am at higher risk of breast cancer. A CT scan showed that something in my right breast took the dye. The follow mammogram is not showing anything but I have very dense breast tissue. The right breast is now a whole cup size

the trial is ongoing screening of your blood every 6 months, checking for ctDNA ( cancer tumor DNA)....if it is found you begin a treatment regimen...if not they just continue to screen you for 2 years...any thoughts? In my mind this should be the future of cancer detection as it finds the disease at
