Has anyone tried Hyalofemme and did it help?
I've used vagifem but now on an Aromatase inhibitor so can't use.

I used Vagifem until BC was diagnosed but was told to stop. Have not used anything since, other than Sylk and Femi Daily for itching. Sylk came from the manufacturer and Femi (which I found to be better) from that famous online place beginning with A. Haven’t used the one you mention though.
Sorry I meant to add - the two products I’ve mentioned were recommended by oncologist. Some doctors might prescribe them but mine will not.

Why on earth won't they prescribe it. Its like ongoing care, health and well being. You need to nag them. Is your Gp male or am I speaking put of turn here?.
GPS have been under pressure for a few years to keep their pharmacy bills down. My husband used to be prescribed Omega (whatever) and that stopped, as was ibuprofen. From a taxpayers viewpoint that’s only fair. From my point of view not so much! But then I contrast my cancer care with that of my sister, who has lived in the USA since about 1970. She was fully insured for health care but when she got cancer the bills were in the many thousands of which she had to cough up $800. Puts it into perspective when I have to fork out the odd tenner every couple of months.
And strangely enough my doc is male! He is a specialist in pain relief but I still have to pay for ibuprofen if I want it.

Hi-I am 68- diagnosed two and a half years ago- had a lumpectomy- I have been taking Tamoxifen for two years and Estring for one year-I was using vagifem before my BC diagnosis- tried natural options after stopping it but had no success so my doctor approved Estring- I am in Canada so not sure what recommendations are in place in other areas! Really pleased that my oncologist approved it for me as it has also helped with urinary frequency-
I think this small localized source of estrogen has made a big difference in my quality of life

Hello Happy RosieI sent an online request for hyalofemme, as recommended by Macmillan that I can get it on repeat and am picking it up soon as the chemist had to order it in.
So feeling happier. 😌 thank you macmillian.

Have you seen the “YES “ products , there’s an oil or water based lubricant as well as a natural ph wash ….really good for dryness and soreness X
Yes to yes. I asked for free sample. Was good. The sting I get from hyalofeme is fading more and and only lasts 10 seconds or so. ?? I'll keep trying thanks 😊

Hi, I use YES VM (vaginal moisturiser) every two days and coconut oil on the other days as get very dry. and YES lubes for sex. I tried hyalofemme once and it stung like anything so not used it again. I was dx four years ago ER8 and PR8 tumor but recently I have had to use a very small amount of ovestin 1mg cream as developed a tear and nothing else was healing it.

Tried Hyalofemme and yes it really stung and was messy the next day. Not tried vagisil or Yes
I tried Balance Active pessaries you push up no applicator they were OK not as messy. Tried Replens in a long tube to insert. I found them the best and the best for the job. Obviously not as good as vagifem but ok.
I think if you still have soreness and tears a little bit of estrogen that can be prescribed is a good plan. Hard to understand if you don't get vaginal dryness.
My GP rang today said she had word with gynecology and they recommended replense on prescription.
Also Macmillan Cancer nurses on line are really helpful.

Ah, thanks for the update! I did suffer with dryness but that stopped when I began using YES VM, I don't know why I got this one small area with a tear but I hope the Ovestin works for me. Interesting you had the stinging with Hyalofemme too. There's a small amount of studies out there showing it to be as effective as oestrogen cream on vaginal tissue for restoring moisture and plumpness.
Ooh, thx for the link. I'll email them too. It's such a shame we can't use it. I bought a whole bloody tube of the stuff and now using it as a moisturiser on my elbows and knees 🤣
A few women find that when they first use Hyalofemme it stings a little it can be due to micro lesions in the vaginal epithelium, it will likely improve over time. We advise using the product at night it is bio adhesive so should stay within the vagina however gravity will move some gel externally.

I’m still using it but it itches as well as stings so I wonder if I am allergic to any part of it. I developed lots of allergies after breast cancer surgery in 2003 and am currently waiting to see a dermatologist at my local hospital for tests. I am hoping it isn’t an allergy
