Hello, I'm David,I'm in my 70s and am on list for Mr Johnston consultant neurovascular brain and back surgeon at the Atkinson Morley wing ,St Georges hospital tooting . I'm having the clipping operation for the above problem ,it was said it had a 70% chance of bursting at some time during the remainder of my natural life . But the operation only had a 10% chance of a stroke or death accruing ,so I have taken the opportunity to have the procedure done . My question is has anybody else had this done and where and what outcome should I expect in your experience . Your support is very welcome .Thank you for looking .

I haven't had any surgery as my aneurysm is much smaller so under I'm 'wait and see' policy.
I just wanted to say though... they're a top team at AMH. You couldn't be in better hands.
All the best for your recovery and please let us know in time how you get on
It may be worth posting on the Headway site too - lots of aneurysm survivors there.
I had a flow diverter for mine as it wasn't in a place they could safely operate on, so my experience was greatly different to what you will be having done. Hope all goes well for you.
