So im new here and lookong for advice. Im 23 and recently found out im pregnant (yaay!) And im wondering if anyone had been un the same situation?

I had an aneurysm rupture in my brain just over 3 years ago and the headaches still floor me sometimes. Turns out due to the coil I had put In, my aneurysm is growing!

I'm so terrified that something happens during this pregnancy with the risk of my no going up and the rise in blood flowing through my veins..

My angiogramhas had to be postponed until after baby is here due to risk factors.

No one really u derstands how I feel and I'm hoping someone here can help.

(Sorry for the long post)

Firstly congratulations!

Secondly, while everyone on here has or has had an aneurysm, we're in different phases of our lives. In your situation you're entitled to feel more vulnerable and scared. Whilst that commonly used phrase 'be positive ' springs to mind, ive never found that much help. Of course we know we need to be positive ! But what can we do practically do to allay our fears.

Has your cinsultant given you an opportunity to ask questions? And go through all the options for treatment and waiting /not waiting. Understanding more about their decisions can help. Is there any counselling you can get access to? Your gp should be sympathetic and helpful in this respect.

One thing I've learnt to do is to better control my emotions because I was scared crying a lot would drive my blood pressure up. So now when I feel upset I allow myself a minute to cry and then I say 'ok that's enough now'. With practice it really works. It might help you /your baby.

Take control of those things you can do something about is my advice and focus on looking after your baby while he/she is developing.

Let us know how you're getting on as bump grows and don't hesitate to share your feelings here again if your emotions get the better of you :) as they do us all from time to time

Hello to you and your bump or new baby

I hope all is going better for you now and you are less emotional on top of your normal hormon fluctuations.

As your quite young to be dealing with this problem . I wish this site was more widely advertised to reach to people in all age ranges.

Wishing you luck x
