I'm due to have an abortion soon, i don't 100% agree with them but at this moment in time it wouldn't be right to bring a baby into my life. I was just wondering can you get a copy of your scan photo from BPAS? I strongly believe this will help me get through it and afterwards understand it was for the best...

I believe you can ask for a picture of your scan if you would like one, but this is only what I’ve read on here, I’m not sure as I’ve not been through that before.

If you believe this is not the right time in your life to have a baby then you have every right to have an abortion. Your body and 100% your decision. Good luck Hun xxx

If that’s what you think is best then that’s fair enough. I wasn’t in an ideal situation when I got pregnant, I continued my pregnancy but I can 100% understand people who decide to have an abortion. If you need to talk to someone, send me a message xxx

I think you should take more time to think through your decision, you say you don't really agree with abortion and want a scan picture, I'm concerned you might regret it in time.

I do agree with H305. There are quite few comments on this site from others who have seriously regretted an abortion. A scan image really can't help you see it as being for the best or get through it, because the question will always remain. It's not just about now - it's a decision that stays with you for all your life, and the reality is that abortion does end a human life that has already started. That's what we can see in a scan - the other body, the other person at the start of life. Please see I'm not trying to give you some kind of guilt trip, I'd hate to do that - I'm just being real. Please do reconsider keeping your child, or if you feel you can't cope with parenting just now, look to have him/her adopted. Only one of my close friends has a child adopted, and she knows her daughter - she's is in good hands and is a gift to someone else. That's three happy people and no regrets.

I agree with mbquestions. Even if keeping the baby isn't an option, try to weigh up your others so you're able to make a decision that you're not going to regret later on down the line. I have a loved one who went through what you're going through who's decision they made haunted them up to today. Take some time to weigh up your options and maybe even write a list. There are loads of options out there. An abortion and raising the baby are just two of them.

Whatever you decide, I hope you make the best decision for you, both long and short term.
