Hi, I'm 3 months pregnant and me and my bfriend live in a 1 bed flat . Although it was ok for us originally 4 years down the line we obviously have a lot more stuff so the flat is cramped . Plus now thanks to IVF we have a baby due in Feb 😍😍😍😍😍😍.

We've spoken ages ago about moving but it's all so expensive and I keep pestering my bfriend saying what r we going to do and he just says he didn't know yet.

No my mind I want everything sorted we have 6 months till baby arrives maybe less , so this is the situation, our bedroom would barely have enough room for a Moses basket , then there's all the other equipment . I'm thinking sjouke I start trying to have a clear out and be really frugal to make space ? I guess if it comes to it I could get rid of one of the sets of draws and baby's bed/ Moses basket could go there.

Am I being ridiculous thinking about all this yet or realistic . ?

Please would anyone comment / advise there suggestions , does anyone else live in a 1 bed flat with a baby how did / do you cope . Xxx

thinking about it now is very realistic waiting a few months would just cause you stress thinking you need to hurry, have you considered moving to a bigger place? or if that's not a option I would definitely suggest considering where you will put babys stuff as they do indeed take up a lot of room with all there stuff, best of luck

Hi hun, been wondering how you are. I think it's sensible to plan ahead. I'm a great forward planner, trying to work out my job for next year and boss is only 7 weeks on Monday πŸ˜€.

Sounds like bf is still in a bit of shock from the bfp. Not surprising after what you've been through. I know you had your ivf at Kingston, so if you live near there John lewis have a brilliant nursery dept where you can get some ideas about storage. One thing that often gets overlooked Is the buggy, so don't forget that. Let the girls on infertility network know how you're getting on. Oh and amazing news, we've got a set of quads 😱. She had 2x5 day blasts transferred and they've both cleaved into identical twins! Be glad you've only got the one πŸ˜€. Take care, keep in touch xx

AimAim, that's great news! Yes, very wise to think about it now. my husband and I were in a 1 bed when we had our baby and I just about went crazy with the baby stuff everywhere. We moved to a bigger place (downstairs, thankfully!) when baby was 8 weeks old. Was very stressful then, because had to have the place tidy for viewings. My advice - look at the Marie Kondo method of decluttering, which I recently discovered. Get rid of all the stuff you don't really need (it's amazing how few clothes you need if you have a good machine). Look up 'minimalist' living and see if it could work for you. Honestly, I wish I had de-cluttered before we moved house because it probably would have been fine for a while longer and it's a struggle to make rent on the bigger place. And it's true as well that you don't need as much baby stuff as there is out there - let me know if you want suggestions on buggies and essentials/waste of space. xx
