pregnancy scare

i used the morning after pill on the 16th of october just to make sure nothing would happen, even though my boyfriend assured me he didnt cum inside me. on the 26th we had sexual intercourse and the condom burst so i had to take it again and between those 10 days my discharge was a milky color and extremely thick. then 3 days later i started to see a dark brown discharge on my underwear though it was very little. after the 26th i was having cramps and severe tummy aches. my period was due on thursday but to my surprise my period started on friday. should i be freaking out or im okay because the pill suppressed my hormones but my period was a day late like nothing happened. and i also heard people can get pregnant and still have their period. please help.

You should talk to your GP or surgery nurse about using ongoing regular contraception, eg: contraceptive pills. A morning after pill should not be used more than once in a menstrual cycle. You can read more information here: doctorfox.co.uk/contracepti...

Hi there

The emergency pill can delay periods a little, but is always best to do a pregnancy test 3 weeks after taking your last emergency pill (which will be 16th Dec). It may be better to go and do it at your contraceptive clinic and you could chat through other contraceptive options.

i live in an LEDC so we dont have such clinics here. so is it possible that i could still be pregnant even after i got my period.

Hi there

Okay, not to worry. Your last period sounds normal, pregnancy can't however be ruled out yet from the 2nd emergency pill. You would need to do a pregnancy test on the 16th Nov (3 weeks after it) and take it from there.
