I think I might be pregnant. My period is due in 4 days. Is it too soon to do a test?

Hi Suski,

Yes, some home pregnancy testing kits are more sensitive than others and there are tests available that you can use 6 days before the day of your missed period. However, the tests are more accurate the closer you are to your missed period - and on the day your period is due the tests are 99% accurate. So if you test early and the result is “not pregnant”, you should definitely retest if you do miss your period.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you need any more information.

Best wishes,

Katherine

I agree with Katherine. Wait If you can.

If you do test early then First Response tests are supposed to be the best. You should be able to get them in lots of shops, including Lloyds and Boots, but smaller chemists may not have them.

Good luck!
