Neuroendocrine

My husband was diagnosed with rectal neuroendocrine cancer two years ago. He had a colostomy, then chemo which didn't work, then radiotherapy that shrank it enough for them to operate. They removed his anus with the tumour intact and 20 lymph nodes 13 of which were cancerous. They followed up with a different chemo to kill any remaining cells, this again didn't work. He had more radiotherapy on lymph nodes in his pelvis. His scan last week showed 2 of the lymph nodes in his pelvis had grown and a small cancer is now in his lung

  • As far as I know that is the wrong treatment. I have NET tumour removed and go to Royal free in London. Treatment is octroetide injections. These have stopped the liver ones growing
