Chronic pain

Hi! I’m 18 years old and I’m suffering from back pain. It started with just my back and now it’s gone to my whole body. It hurts to lay down to sit or even to just open a door. I have tried pain killers and tbh they make me feel horrible. I have tried head and messaging mats and osteopath. I don’t want my whole life dependent on short term fixes and appoiyments. My mum suffers from sloppy joints which is what they think I suffer from. I just need some tips on managing the pain. Any recommendations will be considered.

I can......I was having difficulties earlier.

What a young age to be suffering with Chronic Pain. I appreciate it won’t feel like it just now but life can have a brighter future.

Have you been to your GP and talked about sloppy joint? Have they examined you (not just talked but actually touched you) or done any tests (bloods, x-ray etc) to check to see if there’s an explanation for the pain?

I would recommand you to try to see a physiatrist(not a psychiatrist) or get your doctor to sent you to a pain clinic.

They have physiotherapist, ergotherapist and a lot of other experts in that field.

Personnaly, I went 2 times to the Pain Clinic and they help me a lot. But sometimes, like for me, there is no cure. So since 21 years I am on Fentanyl Patches. It is not a perfect control but I can live with it.

I am sorry for you. You are so young to have these problems.
