Hello I’m new and I don’t really know if I have posted this question already! Can anyone tell me if they have had sweats while on Risedronate Sodium?

Sorry I can’t help you , I’m six weeks into taking alendronic acid.

What I would say is look up the Royal Osteoporosis Society and speak to one of their nurses, they will be able to advise you.

On week 13 of risedronate, had sweats and flushes before starting it as doesn’t seem any worse. I blame my steroids.

Thanks for your reply. Have you had any other side effects with Risedronate?

Hi, I’ve been taking Risedronate for about five months now , I’ve not had any sweats or any side effects so far. I took Alendronic acid for two years but stopped because I had muscle pain from it but due to worsening Dexa scan I needed to start something else. So far so good.

Hi Deanroad - I've been on Actonel (risedronate) for 8 weeks now all up. I haven't had any sweats (had bad sweats after fourth Prolia injection), but you asked about other side effects too. On the weekly 35mg risedronate which I took for 2 weeks, I developed a very sore neck and shoulder, severe dizziness and vertigo and nausea. I stopped before the third tablet and had a break. Then I switched to daily 5mg risedronate which I took every second day for 2 weeks to get used to it, then every day for the past 6 weeks. So far I've had what was bordering on diarrhoea and nausea after a month of the daily tablets, so skipped one day to let my system recover. Since then all has been fine.
