K2 spray - how/when to take it

Hi

I was previously taking k2 mk7 in a capsule, 120ug. Took it with breakfast. Think I read not to take in the evening due to risk of insomnia.

I just bought BetterYou spray from H&B as it was on sale, vastly reduced.

Now, this is 180ug, apparently recommended dose per day. Take 3 sprays a day.

Does anyone take all 3 sprays together, say with breakfast?

Must I take it at 3 separate occasions.....with meals? Alone? With D3?

As I took 120ug capsule previously, maybe I could take 2 sprays a.m. and one at lunch?

Any users of the spray offer advice?

Thanks.

Hi, I use it and take the three sprays together with a vitamin D3 supplement in tablet form with my main meal early evening. Vitamin D3 needs to be taken with the meal which has the most fat in it, to aid absorption. I read that the K2 should be taken alongside vit D3 so that's why I take them at the same time. I also use the BetterYou magnesium and calcium lotion daily and have prunes for boron.

We're supposed to absorb oral spray supplements more efficiently than those in tablet form. Although I am currently taking vit D3 tablets, I take a higher daily dose which hopefully compensates for this.

Yes, I take D3 spray with my evening meal. Used to be on capsules of k2 which I took morning. I have a problem with insomnia, but if d3 and k2 must be taken together, maybe I could take both a.m. I do have some fat at breakfast, as i have nuts and seeds.

That sounds like a good idea. My evening meal doesn't always contain much fat so I should probably vary which meals I take them with.

Thanks. Usually I eat oily fish for dinner, but if I have doubts about the fat content, I’ll take a spoonful of peanut butter!

That's a good idea, I love it so will find that easy to do!

Hi, because of another medication I have to take first thing I cannot take the K2 spray until later. Lunch time if I'm home. I take chewable TheiCal/Vit D3 and shortly afterwards three sprays of K2 together, that's how I interpreted the instructions. I also have a Better You magnesium spray but only use it three times a week on my back. I don't take any prescribed medication anymore for my OP.

Best wishes.

Good to know 3 sprays can be taken at once. Will do more research on whether k2 and d3 must be taken together. Have not been doing so the past 2 years, and had amazing improvement in my dexa scores.

Thanks.

Hi, it's good to hear you have had great improvement in your DEXA results. I have one coming up in December, I feel better than when I took prescribed meds .....but who knows.

I was of the impression the K2 helped the calcium go more to the bones rather than places it shouldn't. !!

But only going by previous comments, too much research for me just makes me worry more 😂.

Certainly missing the Suns Ray's now.

Yes, it is Vitamin K2, also magnesium, which send calcium to the bones so it doesn't settle where it shouldn't.

And here is an easy way to do the research :D

I'd be interested to know what your reaearch regarding taking K2/vitD3 at the same time shows. Do you find that doctors have no clue about these things? When I mentioned K2 to my doctor I got one of those blank stares.

Yes, no medics I’ve encountered know about k2.

I get most of my information from this site.

I think I read here that it’s not necessary to take them at the same time, but some think it is.
