But it depends on where in the world you live. It is generally accepted that northern and southern countries do not get enough sun all year round to provide us with enough vit d. It also requires parts of the body to be exposed (I.e. neck, chest, arms) and not be covered in sunscreen. Older people also do not convert it easily to be used in the body. It’s really not that simple for everyone. Nice when it is though.

Exactly. Apparently in North America anywhere north of 37th parallel you can't get enough sun for much of the year to make vitamin D, and that's pretty far south really.
