IBANDRONIC ACID

I have recently been prescribed IBANDRONIC ACID (Quodixor), which is taken once a month. This is the last tablet medication that my Doctor can prescribe as I have had side affects with all of the previous once’s. Has anyone got any feed back on this medication.

Hello buddyholly. Sorry that the medication you've tried so far hasn't suited you. I don't have any experience of ibandronic acid, but have looked it up and it's a bisphosphonate, with the same potential side effects as other bisphosphonates. Having said that, each one is slightly different, so where one hasn't suited you, another might. You could try phoning the NOS helpline nurses: 0808 800 0035 (freephone) who I'm sure would be able to tell you more about it. I know some people get on fine with bisphosphonate injections when the tablets don't suit them, as these go straight into your bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
