Hi, I went for my fifth treatment the other day. They ended up having to hold off on it because I have developed a very bad hacking cough. Dr sent me for CT-scan to look for any inflammation in my lungs. Plus I am still having high blood pressure and have been put on meds for that.

Can anyone share any information on either of these issues?

Thanks.

Hello Iggy,

Have you asked about the possibility of mucositis? My sister struggled with it during her chemotherapy treatments, especially as her disease progressed.

"Mucositis is when your mouth or gut is sore and inflamed. It's a common side effect of chemotherapy and radiotherapy for cancer. Although mucositis is usually painful, it can be treated. It should get better within a few weeks of finishing cancer treatment."

I think your doctor is concerned of interstitial lung disease, which is a known side effect of some immunotherapy
