25 just got diagnosed with high blood pressure

Just been told by my GP that my blood pressure for my age i am 25, not over weight not a great diet but nothing too bad but some how I've got a BP of 155/80

Hello whiskertron. Take care of 1. Diet 2. Exercise 3. Managing stress. In diet avoid oily food, suagary food and too much salt. Be active go for walk brisk walk cycling Aerobics. These are good exercises. And try to manage your stress. Diet is number one. I had personally experienced.

It might be a good idea to buy a blood pressure machine and to take and record your blood pressure at regular intervals over the course of a few days. Blood pressure varies during a day. It may well be higher than is usual for you if it's taken by a health professional as you may be feeling anxious.

You could then show your own records to the GP.

hi it may be due to hereditory factors wrong diet not enough exercise etc this can be reversed by losing weight out door walking proper diet good luck ed

Hello Jim. Agreed with you. Isn't indoor walking also beneficial on treadmill? U said outdoor. Is there any difference in benefits of indoor Vs outdoor? Please explain. I usually walk at home on treadmill that is indoor.

I think indoor or outdoor depends on you. I love being outdoors for the fresh air and getting out of the house. That helps with my wellbeing too. If I was anxious about being outside that maybe reversed. Do what works for you but get the exercise too.
