Losartan Potassium for High Blood Pressure

I was talking to someone who told me that when she went on Larsotan 100 mg that she couldn't move and was lethargic. Later, I was talking to someone who told me that a family member took the drug and I got the same idea. I had told my doctor about 3 years ago that I was lethargic and lazy. Now I realize that it wasn't about me; it was about this drug. I don't know what to do at this point. Need to change doctor. Need to change med.

Has anyone else had this experience? And if so, what did you change to?

I did begin an OTC product for menopause called Transitions. Totally corrected the problem, but you're not supposed to take this when on hormone replacement therapy. So.....

Hi Redcat... I haven't taken this, but Drugs.com lists a bunch of side effects. some of them are:

•unusual tiredness or weakness

•weakness or heaviness of the legs

•general tiredness and weakness

I would talk to your doc (new or old) about something else. I use Olmesartan and I like it really well. No fluid retention, etc., but I wouldn't know about the tiredness as I have other issues. Good luck with getting this straight...

yes I took that medicine one day the next morning I could hardly walk … I was dragging my right leg … about a week leg it was better .. my doctor had me cut my pill in half … but I’m about to ask for a change because I get very bad leg cramps at night from that medicine … and honestly I don’t take it half the time which is not helping my hbp but it’s scary taking something that can cause you not to walk … I’m trying to eat more healthy .. I dint eat pork anymore and limited my salt intake .. drink plenty of water .. and cutting ppl out my life .. that causes me stress including family .. idk my health is important
