HIgh BP at work

Does anyone here have crazy high blood pressure readings when either at work or just talking to someone, and then at home readings are normal

Oh yes....the over sensitized nervous system doesn't allow us to talk and relax at the same time. Not until I figured it out about deep breathing being the tool I use the most in calming down my nerves. When talking, I now allow the other person to talk while I get a chance to deep breathe. I hate lulls in the conversation and so my mind would be racing as I was talking wondering what I was going to say next. With that much stimulation to the brain, my b/p would go sky high and I'd feel lightheaded and scared. Once I was at home, the pressure would go down to normal readings.

There was a time at the beginning that being on a tranquilizer was thought to be the answer. Once I got off my benzos, I realized that I could do this on my own by using Meditation and Deep Breathing to keep the mind/body connection at a calmer state.

One of the medical staff at W.A. Baum took my 21-year-old daughter's Bianca's blood pressure last week when she came to meet me for lunch. Sitting quietly her pressure was 140/100. Talking while standing her pressure was 186/120. It took around 15 minutes for her pressure to come down.
