About 3 weeks ago I was diagnosed with diabetes.

When I went and saw my doctor she had my blood sugar taken there and then. It red 15.7.

My brother has type 1 and was diagnosed when he was 13 and his reading was 15 point something and was sent to hospital.

I was told I had type 1 there then and that my doctor would send an urgent referral to the diabetic people at hospital.

I had to monitor my blood sugar for the weekend and see my doctor on the Monday, when she saw me she told me she spoken to a diabetic team member and they think because I’m 22 that it’s more type 2.

The hospital rang to arrange an appointment which was booked for 26th February 2018 but wasblatee cancelled a week later.

I know have an appointment on the 21st December.

I have been put on metformin tablets for about a week now only have to take one a day and increase dosage every 2 weeks.

I’m feeling sick and put off my food because of the tablets, on current taking 1 a day, I have recently the past couple of days really dry/chapped red lumpy rash on back of hands.
