Hi to everybody who responded to me last week when I asked about this. I had my first r/canal appointment yesterday, which went really well, according to the endontologist, although it took three hours!! It had been slightly more challenging than she anticipated. She had consulted with my GP about my treatment and she gave me the adrenalin free stuff I had requested. It does wear off more quickly than the local anaesthetics with adrenalin, but she kept me topped up as we went along. On the plus side the numbness was gone from my jaw about 30 minutes after I left the surgery. Today I only have a slight discomfort in the tooth and haven't needed any painkillers. The whole process was nowhere as bad as I anticipated. Hope the second appointment goes as well.
