[New feature] - Ability to copy links from posts and replies to share them

β€’14 Replies

Hello everyone πŸ‘‹,

At HealthUnlocked, we are always striving to improve our users' experience by implementing ways to make communication between members easier.

We have received feedback about how hard it is to direct members to a specific reply on posts with a large amount of responses, for example, you want to share a helpful response with another community member.

We have added the ability to copy the link to a specific post or reply. You can find this action in the "More" drop-down list (cf. image above for posts).

By selecting this option, the link to the post or reply will be copied and you can then paste it into another post on HealthUnlocked.

I wish you good health!

Manar

That's great news, Manar. It will save a lot of time and effort as the number of contributions on HU grows so much and features like this are much needed.

I will test things out.

That's amazing 😊

I'm often replying to people and referring to past posts.

I like to draw on what's been discussed or shared previously to help someone with an issue, and as a way of gathering resources together in one place.

Copying the link through selecting the URL can be pretty niggling. So this should be really helpful. 😊

This is a brilliant new feature! It was only relatively 'easy' to do this before via News feed or from the replier's activity page. That quickly became impractical on more active communities or for more active members respectively.

Thank you!

Neil

Hidden This is very useful, thank you.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work on Poll threads.

Our community has a couple of polls currently running, which have very, very long comment threads.

Links to comments have never worked on Poll threads (not from emails or notifications), and this new feature doesn't work either.

Moderating our Poll threads has always been extremely tedious for admins because of this, and I was hopeful that this new feature might have resolved the problem. But alas no 😩
